Ice Island - Stage 1 is the first stage of Ice Island in Kirby: Squeak Squad. The Sword Ability Scroll can be found here.
Overview[edit]
This stage consists of six main areas. It begins in a grassy field as snow starts to fall. The path continues up a shallow hill to the right, then back down the other side, where a Snooter guards the door.
The scenery gets decidedly icier as Kirby progresses past lakes with frozen surfaces, which he can break through using the Fire ability. Up ahead, the mid-boss Gao Gao yields the Animal ability, which can be used to dig through thicker patches of snow.
From there, Kirby stumbles upon a very deep snow pit which he can dig through. Along the way, a switch can be manipulated to open a gate and obtain a Treasure Chest as Kirby moves toward the bottom of the pit.
The next area is an icy tunnel, with falling icicle hazards and a Laser Ball on guard. Using its ability, Kirby can open the way to a side passage that leads to another treasure chest before proceeding along the main path.
The next portion of the tunnel leads mainly straight upward past a few Shotzos and other foes on watch. There is a small cache below this climb which contains a few extra goodies.
The last area is an exterior one, where Storo takes hold of the large treasure chest. Kirby will have to bust through a Bomb Block to escape the grotto he starts in and chase Storo down. After recovering the chest, the stage exit can be reached on a floating platform to the right.
