"Revenge of the Enemy" is a musical piece composed by Hirokazu Ando and serves as the boss revenge battle theme in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
Composition[edit]
"Revenge of the Enemy" shares the melody of "Spring Smash Factory", the stage music of Lollipop Land - Stage 3, which is one of the leitmotifs of Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It also incorporates the "Green Greens" theme on its second half.
In addition to electronic music, piano, and electric guitar are featured in this theme.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]
"Revenge of the Enemy" plays in the following boss battles:
- Coily Rattler and Kracko in Royal Road - Stage 2
- Paintra, Flowery Woods and Pyribbit in Royal Road - Stage 4
- Masked Dedede's first phase
- Dark Meta Knight's Revenge's first phase
"Revenge of the Enemy" can also be found as Track 96 in the game's Jukebox.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]
In this game, "Revenge of the Enemy" receives an unlockable remix, unlocked by collecting one of the Treasure Chests found in the Burning Secrets stage. This version is very faithful to the original version, with very similar instrumentation; the most notable difference is its soundfont. It can be found as Track 25 in the game's Music Room.
Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]
The original version of "Revenge of the Enemy" is reused in the title screen and the Copy Ability room of The True Arena. It can also be found as Track 143 in the game's Jukebox.
Team Kirby Clash Deluxe[edit]
The original version of the theme is reused again, playing in the "Tough: Taranza" Ordeal in the Empyrean.
Kirby Star Allies[edit]
The original version of the theme is also reused in this game, playing in the rest area before Corrupt Hyness in The Ultimate Choice's Soul Melter EX difficulty. It can also be found as Track 211 in the game's Jukebox after clearing said difficulty for the first time.
Super Kirby Clash[edit]
In Super Kirby Clash, a remix of the theme can be heard while facing Taranza in his "Tough" and "Tougher" battles. This version, like most remixes featured in the game, is the original version of the track with some additional instrumentation overtop, such as drums, electronic effects, and a choir at its end. It also features a new intro and repeats some later phrases.
