- This article is about the Stadium mode in Kirby Air Ride. For Kirby in "Melee", see Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Kirby Melee is a Stadium mode in Kirby Air Ride, having a chance to appear at the end of City Trial on default settings. It tasks the racers to dispatch as many foes as possible within a minute and a half.
Overview[edit]
Contestants are placed in an arena, where enemies spawn continuously and in great number. The objective is to defeat as many of them as possible before time runs out. To this end, several enemies which yield Copy Abilities are available, which can make the process easier. Racers can also attack each-other, and if KO'd, will be forced to retire. Once time is called, the racer who dispatched the most enemies is the winner.
At first glance, it might seem logical to desire a machine specifically built for combat, like the ones in Destruction Derby. However, as the goal is to dispatch enemies - who go down in one hit regardless - a more suitable machine might be one with good maneuverability instead.
Stages[edit]
There are two stages in Kirby Melee. They are as follows:

This stage takes place in a castle, with several floors, and an interior hallway encircling a courtyard. Where the enemies spawn is not always consistent, though sometimes a Walky appears, who can make dispatching enemies easy.
This stage is initially locked. To unlock it, the player must dispatch at least 75 enemies alone in Stage 1.
