Shieldster is an enemy which exclusively appears in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. He tends to appear out of nowhere to patrol a hallway, carrying in front of him a shield that is hazardous to touch, even to other enemies. When spotting Kirby, Shieldster will go on high alert and rush to defend the position. When attacked from behind, it takes three hits from Kirby's Touch Dash or Waddle Dee's spear to defeat Shieldster. However, defeating him this way will only knock him down temporarily, and he will get back up after about 10 seconds. To defeat him permanently, a Star Dash or shot from a Cannon is needed. When defeated this way, Shieldster rewards 100 points and 3 Point Stars.
In Story Mode, Shieldster only appears in the stage Wonder Space, but he also makes an appearance in Challenge Mode.
