Challenge 40 is the fortieth stage of Challenge Mode in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

Overview[edit]

Challenge 40 is a Survival Challenge, divided into twelve rooms with 15 seconds per room. Each room features multiple Kirbys to control. The rooms are as follows:

Room Description Notes
KatRC Challenge Room 40-1.png
Room 1
This room has five Cottas on balloons hanging inside a Gray Zone up above. Four Kirbys can be controlled here, and they can bound into each-other to reach the Cottas and defeat them to make the chest appear.

Room 2
Many Point Stars hang in a field in this room. Three Kirbys will need to work together to collect them all to make the chest appear in the middle of the room.

Room 3
This room is divided into four sections by barriers, each with a Kirby inside. The three areas to the right all are in Gray Zones and have springs on the floor. The Kirbys in this area will need to dash into the switches on the walls to allow the Kirby to the left to get the chest.

Room 4
This room has six Bronto Burts flying up and down. Two Kirbys can work together to defeat them and make the chest appear in the middle of the room.

Room 5
The chest in this room is floating up at the top behind lots of blocks in a gray zone. Five Kirbys can work together to crash through these blocks and get the chest. One strategy to get this chest consistently is to get the Kirbys moving, and then draw rainbow ropes upward along the middle in a straight line.

Room 6
Two Kirbys start in the lower-left, and have to get to the chest in the upper right through a thick field of Star Blocks. One strategy to more consistently get this chest is to keep the Kirbys moving toward the upper-right by drawing ropes to contain them and direct them that way.

Room 7
This room's chest is situated atop some clay blocks in a gray zone. One Kirby sits on a thin floor in the middle of the room while the other starts in the lower-left corner. One Kirby needs to knock the other toward the chest to get it. Ideally, this should be done with a single rainbow rope stroke, curving the lower Kirby straight up toward the upper one.

Room 8
The chest in this room is locked away in a metal block case in the middle. Surrounding the case are lots of point stars, but a Gray Zone in the upper half will make collecting enough of them tricky. Two Kirbys can work together to get the job done, so one can use a Star Dash to get the chest.

Room 9
This room is divided into two sections. In the upper section, one Kirby has to deal with three Bouncys, while another Kirby in the lower section deals with three Cottas. This done, the chest will appear in the middle of the upper section.
KatRC Challenge Room 40-10.png
Room 10
This room is entirely filled with a Gray Zone and has a field of springs coating the entire floor. There are two Kirbys to control in this room, but they cannot bounce high enough to reach the chest on their own, which flies back and forth along the top of the room. The Kirbys will need to dash into each-other to give them enough momentum to reach the chest.
KatRC Challenge Room 40-11.png
Room 11
In this room, two Kirbys have to deal with two lines of eight Barampas to make the chest appear in the middle of the room. Best to wait a moment for the Barampas to get a little closer, or else some will linger past the walls and be unreachable.

Room 12
This room is divided into four main areas by metal blocks, with the chest sitting in the middle. Each corner has a Kirby and three medium Point Stars to collect. Once enough stars are collected, one of the Kirbys can Star Dash to get the chest.
