Flopper is an enemy from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is first encountered in Stage 1 of Rock Star. It does not yield a Copy Ability if swallowed. Flopper is a fish with a red body, white belly and yellow fins. It is named as such because most of the time, it is found out of the water, flopping about. It doesn't move very much beyond this, and as such, is only a minor nuisance. When it is fortunate enough to have water, Flopper will often be seen leaping out of it in order to try and catch Kirby. Given that Kirby can inhale underwater in the title this creature appears in, Flopper can then be held over Kirby's head to help him swim through the water faster.

Floppers also appear as obstacles in the intense level of 100-Yard Hop, where they stay in place, flopping. They slip up a racer when landed on and then disappear, functioning identically to the banana peel.
