Hi, I'm Gigi! I'm a Brazilian young adult that has loved Kirby since around early 2009. My first language is Brazilian Portuguese, but I speak English fluently. I also know Spanish in an intermediate level and Japanese in a basic level (currently studying the latter). I can also understand a bit of Italian due to its similarities to Spanish and Portuguese.

I'm an administrator and bureaucrat of WiKirby! I'm also the wiki's current Editor-in-Chief. That means I'm the leading staff member, and the best person to contact if you have any questions related to the wiki and its policies, need help with anything, or need something admin or bureaucrat related to be done like a text replace or account rename: feel free to leave me a message in my talk page or message me on Discord, I'll be more than happy to help!

What I've been doing in the wiki

I've been focused lately on making the Kirby Café page up to date, in particular now completing the big Kirby Café menu page.

I've been checking the already existing music pages and editing them to add any missing info I can remember. I've also been uploading audio files to those pages that need them. I'm also sometimes creating more music pages, starting with more known music of the franchise.

I've also been extracting images and other assets from games' files and uploading them to the wiki. While I am not really focused on this right now, feel free to ask me if you need anything extracted, although I really mostly only have access to files of recent games.

And, of course, while what I just mentioned is my focus, that's not all I do. In general, as the Editor-in-Chief, I am WiKirby's representative and leader, and so I do my best to help the wiki head to the best direction: that means helping users, guiding and overseeing other staff members, organizing projects, defining policies, to name a few duties. I am also very open to suggestions, ideas and feedback, so, once again, feel free to message me if you want! And as an admin and bureaucrat, I help maintain the content of the wiki in various ways, such as taking care of protected pages, deleting articles and files if they are deemed unneeded, and adjusting users' ranks.

One-off tasks or other stuff I want to eventually work on if no one does it before me:

• Finish the Brazil part of Kirby around the world
• Create more music navboxes, starting with the rest of the modern games
• Actually finish the 20th Anniversary Kirby Pupupu Encyclopedia page
• Create a "Music" page (User:Gigi/Sandbox/Music)
• Create a "Literature" page (or perhaps "List of Kirby books")
• Help fill coverage of the novels in characters and copy ability pages (and in particular, create more novel pages for existing characters with major novel appearances)
• Go around translating some stuff that has yet to be translated in various pages (see this category)
• Make sure all boss pages have a proper "flavor text" table
• Take screenshots and in general add more images to the wiki (see this category) (doing some SqS stage images when I feel like it)

Kirby and me

My first Kirby game was Kirby: Squeak Squad, and to this day it still holds a special place in my heart. The game that made be a big Kirby fan however was Kirby Super Star Ultra, which I played and replayed countless times when it was the latest Kirby game. It has been really fun and rewarding to watch the series grow in the over 10 years I've been a fan of it, and I'm always anxious to see more.

My favorite Kirby game has changed a lot in my early years as a Kirby fan, but ever since Kirby: Planet Robobot released, it has held that position. Kirby: Triple Deluxe was my favorite Kirby game before Robobot released, and it still is my second favorite. Kirby Star Allies stole the third position from Kirby's Return to Dream Land when it released, but after the release of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I started to reevaluate what I love about Kirby games, and after playing Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe I concluded I do still love 2D Kirby a lot more than 3D Kirby, and thus Return to Dream Land and Star Allies are tied in third place, while Forgotten Land comes after in fourth.

My favorite Kirby character has always been Kirby himself, but over the past few years Bandana Waddle Dee has grown on me to the point where he's now tied with Kirby as my favorite character of the series. Not surprising, when I see the two interacting I can't help but smile.

My favorite Copy Ability has been Mirror for as long as I can remember, with Magic always following as a close second. I didn't have a third favorite until ESP came, which instantly got that third place. I had ideas for a psychic power like ability before it, so it was so cool to see that happening.

My favorite Kirby composer is Jun Ishikawa, and thus my favorite Kirby songs are almost always by him. My favorite Kirby song ever is Welcome Your New Overlord.

I love the Kirby novel series; they are my favorite adaptation of the series, and a big part of why I decided to actually start learning Japanese. They are just so darn good and I wish they had at least English releases to be more accessible.

Shinya Kumazaki is a huge inspiration for me and I respect him a lot. Not surprising, my favorite Kirby games were all directed by him.

I do probably too much on the Kirby fandom. Apart from being the Editor-in-Chief here, I am an admin of the r/kirby Discord server, an editor for Kirby Informer, and I have been writing a Kirby fan story since late 2010, 20 Times Kirby! (its original run, as a sprite comic, ended in late 2019, and I am currently working on a written remake of it). Moreover, I do translations of Kirby interviews and post them on my personal blog, and I have a side project called Kirbrasil, which aims to translate the modern Kirby games to Brazilian Portuguese.

Kirby's Adventure	Played most of it	One day I will beat it... I want to beat the 3D Classics version actually. What I did play of it was fairly fun, although a bit outdated in gameplay, but the graphics do hold up a lot to this day.
Kirby's Pinball Land	Played most courses	This probably my least favorite Kirby game. It's not bad, I just feel it's okay at best, and later Kirby Brawlball in Mass Attack is just a better version if it.
Kirby's Dream Course	Played a bit	Need to replay it, since I didn't play enough to form an opinion.
Kirby's Avalanche	Playing	Been playing it on NSO, but I'm bad at it lol
Kirby's Dream Land 2	Played, but didn't beat	I don't really find this game that fun, thus I've never beaten it, but I want to one day. I think I stopped on Cloudy Park or something.
Kirby's Block Ball	Played almost all of it	Very fun spinoff with underrated music. Not my favorite, but I consider it the hidden gem of the series.
Kirby Super Star	Beat everything but The Arena co-op	I only beat this game literally once, since I played KSSU before. It's hard for me to comment on it since for me it was basically playing the inferior version after the superior one, but yeah it's fine, and I can see why this game was so important to the series.
Kirby's Star Stacker	Unplayed (but I own it)
Kirby's Dream Land 3	Beat True Ending	Had played in Dream Collection but I only beat it on NSO a while ago. Not ashamed to say I used guides to get the True Ending. For me this game is carried by its visuals and music (thanks Ishikawa), since I have its physics. But I don't consider it a bad game.
Kirby's Star Stacker (Super Famicom)	Beat Gryll	One of my favorite spinoffs of the series, although man it can get brutal. I wish it had been officially released in English.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards	Beat True Ending	This game is full of charm, and filled with incredible Ishikawa music. It's not my favorite, since I'm not a fan of the controls and some puzzles, but I do like it a lot. I mean, how can I not?
Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble	Unplayed	Not sure if I will ever play this game... Oh I guess it will be in NSO eventually, then I can play it there.
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land	Beat Main Mode	It's been forever, but yeah it was fine I think? Felt better to play physics-wise than the original.
Kirby Air Ride	Played through everything	I feel people either love or hate this game, and then I'm just here, neutral to it. It's very fun with others, otherwise whatever. Also I really like Top Ride for some reason, and while City Trial is fun to mess around, I don't get the hype.
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror	98%	I originally had the game at 98% but my save data got reset, and I've never had the motivation to try to beat the game again and 100% :( Anyway it's been forever since I played it, but I plan to replay it multiplayer once it's out in NSO.
Kirby: Canvas Curse	95%	Despite everything, I actually really like this game, but I admit it has been forever since I played it.
Kirby: Squeak Squad	100%	Beat the game 100% and did Extra Mode more times than I can count. I hold this game dear and for me its only big flaws really are some stages having you to pick paths at random, and the story, otherwise this game is good.
Kirby Super Star Ultra	100%	Beat the game 100% more times than I can count. I also beat Helper to Hero with every helper once. Another game I hold dear and is good.
Kirby's Epic Yarn	95%	Cute fun game, don't have strong feelings either way. Although I didn't like when it was new that people considered it the best Kirby game and then RtDL came and they considered it worst.
Kirby Mass Attack	93% (or something like that)	I enjoy playing this game, but I don't enjoy trying to 100% it. Also the minigames are soooooooooooo good.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land	200%	Also beat it 100% co-op once. Yet another game I hold dear, where I almost cried when I first saw the credits of how good it was, and how it opened a new path for Kirby, which didn't really have any path to take back then.
Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition	100% (New Challenge Stages)	Incredible collection.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe	100%	My second favorite game in the series. Peak fiction. Love it so much.
Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe	100%, all Platinum Medals	One of my only skills is in rhythm games, so yeah, I love this game because of that lol
Kirby Fighters Deluxe	Beat Very Hard once	I'm very neutral to this game. I guess it's fine?
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse	90% (or something like that)	I don't have too many strong feelings about this game honestly. It's fun and cute and that's about it.
Kirby: Planet Robobot	100%	My favorite game of the series, for me the series peaked here alongside Triple Deluxe.
