Waiu is a Mid-Boss that made its debut in Kirby's Dream Land 2. It resembles a ninja in a purple outfit, but the Ninja ability did not exist back in Kirby's Dream Land 2, so it provides the Cutter ability instead when swallowed after defeat.

Waiu's Attacks  
Attack Description
Cutter Boomerang Waiu throws boomerang cutters which can be inhaled and spat back, but only after they've hit the wall.
Vanish Waiu vanishes, creating an illusion of itself shimmering in the air before landing.
Smoke Bombs Waiu stops to throw smoke bombs which bounce three times on the ground and then rise into the air. They cannot be inhaled, however. This attack is ususally used right after vanishing.
Spin Kick Waiu performs a rising kick at close range.

While Waiu itself does not appear in Kirby Star Allies, it, along with Kracko and Ice Dragon, can be painted by Adeleine & Ribbon in the Dream Friend's move - Ado's Painter.
