This article is about canceled Game Boy Color game. For the Sub-Game in Kirby: Triple Deluxe that can be abbreviated to "KF" as well, see Kirby Fighters.

Kirby Family[Japanese title] (ジャガーミシン刺しゅう専用ソフトカービィファミリー Jaguar Sewing Machine Embroidery-Only Software: Kirby Family)[1] was a piece of software for the Game Boy Color developed by Natsume in collaboration with HAL Laboratory, designed for compatibility with Jaguar's JN-100 sewing machine. It was exhibited at the Nintendo Space World 2001 alongside the Mario-series equivalent Mario Family, scheduled to release on September 10, 2001,[2] but was eventually canceled because the former sold poorly.[3]

It was a collection of 32 preset patterns forming various artwork of characters from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, which would be transmitted by the Game Boy Color to the sewing machine, and then the selected patterns would be reproduced on cloth. The characters present were Kirby, Waddle Dee, Ribbon, King Dedede, Adeleine, Kapar, Chacha, Bronto Burt, Emp, Whispy Woods, Flora and Chilly. Each pattern also had multiple alternate colors that the player could choose from.[4]
