There are a few different varieties of clouds, distinguished by their movement patterns. Some only move in a straight direction, while others can be controlled to a limited capacity by the player. — In-game tip regarding Clouds from Lvl 1-1 of Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble.

A Cloud[1] is a hovering rectangular cloud platform that appears in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble. When Kirby jumps into one, he will be locked into the cloud and carried along in a given path over bottomless pits and other obstacles. Kirby can leave the cloud at any time when the player presses A to make him jump out in a given direction indicated by a star cursor.

There are a few different varieties of clouds, distinguished by their movement patterns. Some only move in a straight direction, while others can be controlled to a limited capacity by the player. A third type can be seen connected to a rotating bar. Hopping into any given Cloud will award a Star Piece and 100 points.
