Lvl 2-2 is the second stage of Level 2 in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble.
Overview[edit]
The stage begins in a narrow rocky hallway. The first obstacle involves launching from a Jump Hole onto a moving platform over a bottomless pit, so good timing is needed. From there, past a Kabu, another moving platform needs to be landed on. At this point, the path splits in two. Going left leads past a series of shifting platforms before re-converging through a gate. Going right instead leads past a moving platform into a room with short walls running through it before re-converging. From here, Kirby needs to ride one more lift then roll past some Kabu to jump onto a Cloud and ride to the gate.
From here, the path splits again, but this time, which way Kirby can go is determined by a dice block that rolls either red or blue when flipped. The blue path on the left is somewhat longer, featuring a few bumper hazards near the end, while the red path on the right is shorter and involves hopping along a few more moving platforms. The paths re-converge shortly afterward in the upper-right. After riding another Cloud past some Kabu, Kirby can pass through a large room and hop over to the goal pad in the area just above. A large amount of Star Pieces can be generated around the goal pad if the ? Hole is activated.
In the Extra Game, all Kabu are replaced with Dekabu.
Star guide[edit]
- Red Star: After taking the blue path to the left, this star can be found tucked away in a small grotto which can be accessed by hopping over a short wall or some Blast Boards and crossing a bottomless pit. This star cannot be obtained if Kirby heads down the red path instead.
- Warp Star: There are two Warp Stars in this stage which lead to the same area. They can be found out in the open past the fork in the path, either on the left or right. Taking one leads Kirby to a bonus area where he will need to jump from a lift to get some 1-Ups.
Enemies[edit]
- The design of this stage - particularly the area where the path splits after a dice block roll - is slightly different between the Japanese and North American release.
