Composition[edit]
"Taranza, the Master of Puppetry" is a slow-paced, minor-key theme set in 4/4 time. It bears a great resemblance to King Dedede's Theme, fitting the relationship between the two characters, but it diverges further as its melody progresses. It also includes aspects of "Floral Fields", one of Kirby: Triple Deluxe's main themes.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]
The theme first appears in Kirby: Triple Deluxe during the music for the opening cutscene, "Waking to a flowery coup!", in which it plays while Taranza abducts King Dedede. Kirby Star Allies[edit]
In Kirby Star Allies, a rearrangement of "Taranza, the Master of Puppetry" is used as Taranza's personal Dream Friend jingle, which is titled タランザが、おみとおしなのねっ！ (Taranza Sees Right Through You!) on Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack. Another arrangement is also used as the theme for his Pseudo HAL Room, which is titled あやつりの魔術師タランザ／スターアライズ アレンジ ver. (Taranza, the Master of Puppetry/Star Allies Arrangement ver.) on Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack. In both cases, the theme is rearranged by Jun Ishikawa[3] and features accordion and viola, giving it a somewhat more refined air.

A rearrangement of the theme plays during the battles with Shadow Kirby on the Easy, Normal and Hard difficulties of Single-Handed Mode, and on Chapter 4 of Story Mode: The Destined Rivals. It is named 参戦！シャドーカービィ (Enter the Battle! Shadow Kirby) and arranged by Yuki Shimooka.[4]
