In many cases, not only is the language changed during a localization, but the content is as well. As a result, the [[continuity]] of various ''Kirby'' media can and does differ between languages. When discussing an article whose details are different depending on region, the American English localization should be used first and foremost. In cases where the British English localization differs, these differences may be noted separately.

This is because different versions of the games for these consoles are designed to be used with televisions of the respective standards, and as such, these terms are commonly used both in official labeling and unofficial parlance. This terminology should not be used for the [[Wii U]] or the [[Nintendo Switch]], nor for any of Nintendo's handheld consoles.
