Stage 1

File:Grass Land DL3 Stage 1.png
Kirby sets out on the grass once more in Stage 1.

Room 1 - The stage begins on a lovely grassy field. To the right, Waddle Dees can be seen patrolling the area, but they are no match for Kirby's mouth. Further right, a Sir Kibble appears, which Kirby can swallow for the Cutter ability. This ability can be used to break blocks that bear the Cutter symbol on them to get bonus stars. Along the way, a door can be accessed in the middle of the path which leads to a side-chamber containing both Rick and Nago, ready to go. On the main path, the door to the next area can be found to the right, past more patrolling enemies and soft hills.

Room 2 - The next room contains Sasukes patrolling on parasol-weak blocks, the blocks being a hint to the ability these creatures will yield if swallowed. Further down, this ability can be used to gain access to a 1-Up. On the other side of the valley, a Sparky can be swallowed to gain access to another treat. The door to the next area can be found atop some cliffs further right.

Room 3 - In this area, Kirby traverses a plain filled with red flowers. It is in Kirby's best interest to leave these flowers alone as he proceeds. Near the end of the path, an Invincibility Candy can be eaten to really speed things up.

In the last room, Kirby can meet up with another red flower character. If it is pleased, it will give Kirby a Heart Star. From there, the stage exit is just beyond.

Stage 2

Kirby and ChuChu go twirling away in Stage 2.

Room 1 - The stage begins out in the fields. Here, Kirby can get a first taste of the Clean ability from a local Keke. Further down, a Rocky appears if Kirby wants to sample the Stone ability as well. Finally, just before the door to the next area, Kirby can try on the Burning ability from a local Bobo.

Room 2 - The door leads to a small area where Pitch and ChuChu are waiting. Kirby can pick one of these friends to accompany him, or just move on. From there, another door leads to a double-decked walkway patrolled by Bouncys and Waddle Dees. In the middle of the path, a side-passage can be found underneath a barricade of Star Blocks. This leads to a small room with a strange-looking green creature inside, but what does it want? Perhaps ChuChu can help...

Room 3 - On this trail, a Nruff can be encountered, for the first time as a standard enemy. Tick also appears to provide the Needle ability. This can later be used to gain a 1-Up from a cache. The stage exit can be found at the end of this path.

If the green creature from earlier was properly satisfied, it will grant Kirby a Heart Star in the final room.

Stage 3

Kirby and Coo descend the cliffside in Stage 3.

Room 1 - This stage begins out in rugged country with a number of enemies on the wings. A side-chamber can be accessed where Kine and Coo are waiting.

Room 2 - The door leads to a cliff-face which auto-scrolls upward. At the top, when the door is centered, the scrolling stops.

Room 3 - In this room, Kirby will play a Sub-Game with a local blue denizen with a hat. In this game, this capped presenter throws three Gordos past a screen, briefly showing a specific face. Kirby then has to guess which face it was. If all three guesses are correct, Kirby wins the game, but even if he loses, the door to the next area still opens up.

Room 4 - From up top, Kirby will have to progress down the cliff in another auto-scrolling area as a bunch of Nruff do the same on the other side. They will meet at the bottom, near the door.

Room 5 - This area is another open field. Kirby will have to contend with Shotzos and a surprise metal boulder from the sky before reaching the stage exit.

In the last room, Kirby will receive a Heart Star from the blue being if he got all three guesses right in the earlier game.

Stage 4

Kirby and Nago choose from the Zebon in Stage 4.

Room 1 - The stage begins on a rocky plain. Here, Kirby will be assaulted by Rockies and Louds. Dekabu will also try to get in the way. The path eventually leads into a cave.

Room 2 - The door leads further into the cave, as Kirby falls into a shallow pool. The path then leads out of the water, up and then down. At the end, Kirby can jump into one of three Zebons, who will shoot him up to the door. Each one will also cause Kirby to get a different item at the top.

Room 3 - The door leads to another area of the cave, starting with a huge barrier of Star Blocks that Zebon can help Kirby clear through. Further down the tunnel, a few stone-weak blocks form a bridge that can be broken, revealing an alternate path.

Room 4 - This room is divided into two areas. The upper area is a small section of cave with two doors. The lower area is patrolled by the Mid-Boss Boboo. The lower area can only be accessed through an alternate door in the previous room. Defeating Boboo yields the Burning ability and opens up another doorway.

Room 5 - This room is another segmented tunnel. In the lower section, a monkey named Goku can be seen, but he cannot be reached unless Kirby took the lower path to get here.

Room 6 - The two paths re-join here, in another long cave. Star pieces here are guarded by Oros. Kirby will also have to look out for a large stone that repeatedly falls down, then back up again. From there, the path winds bast Gordos who patrol it, and guard some goodies.

Room 7 - The door leads to a more open cave area. A rolling boulder will chase him out of the gave, where he will then need to dodge a bunch of Gordos out in the open before reaching the stage exit.

In the last room, a young girl named Chao is waiting. If Kirby saved Goku, she will give him a Heart Star.

Stage 5

Kirby and Kine set a plunger trap for a Nruff in Stage 5.

Room 1 - The stage begins in a thick birch forest on a simple path. Here, some Propellers can be found, hatching from eggs. The door to the next area can be found past a bridge made of rolling logs.

Room 2 - This area is a short path, though with many more rolling logs. Along the way, side-chambers can be accessed which hold four of Kirby's Animal Friends.

Room 3 - The path through the forest continues past more log bridges. Gordos can be seen guarding certain items that are partially obscured behind trees.

Room 4 - In this area, Kirby will have to run along the logs and avoid the Ticks who want to poke him from below. The stage exit can be found at the end of this path.

In the last room, a female sunfish named Mine is waiting. If Kirby brought Kine along, she will give them a Heart Star.

Stage 6

Kirby gets lost in the woods with many foes in Stage 6.

Room 1 - This stage begins in a heartier forest, with stumps that Kirby can jump on. Along the way, Rick or ChuChu can be recovered in a side-chamber.

Room 2 - This area is a large hollow stump. Along the way, there are some shapes that can be recovered with the right techniques. Spooky-looking spiders called Mariel also lurk the stump. Kirby should take care not to eat them, or he will take damage.

Room 3 - Back on the forest path, Kirby will run past more foes waiting to attack. Nago and Coo can be found in a side-chamber along the way. A Yaban guards the door to the next area.

Room 4 - The door leads to a big open area with Star Block floors. The path continues downward past Apolo who are swinging around the trunks. The door can be found at the bottom, at ground level.

Room 5 the door leads to a hillier forest path. A 1-Up appears to the left of Kirby and falls, though it can still be collected even when it hits the ground. The path continues to the right past more enemies, until the stage exit is reached.

In the last room, Kirby meets up with a clown. If all the shapes were collected earlier, he will give out a Heart Star.

Boss: Whispy Woods

File:Whispy DL3.png
Whispy is done with staying put.

The fight begins as usual for this stubborn tree. He attacks by shooting out Air Pellets at Kirby. He will also spit out various vegetables at him, which can be inhaled and spat back.

Once Whispy is down to half-health, he gets angry, and actually begins to chase Kirby down using his roots as legs. He will continue to spit vegetables at Kirby while this happens. During this phase, Whispy can only be hurt if he is hit in the face.

Once Whispy is defeated, he stops moving, and loses his face. If Kirby collected all the Heart Stars in the level, they will appear and drive out the remnants of Dark Matter from the area. From there, Kirby does his victory dance, hops on the Warp Star, and moves on to the next level - Ripple Field.
