"Sub-Game Menu" is a track which appears on the subgame menu in Kirby Super Star Ultra and fills a similar role in the difficulty select for Kirby on the Draw in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe.

Composition[edit]

"Sub-Game Menu" is mostly a simple filler theme, and as such, the original version is very short. It consists of sets of staccato notes, rising twice, falling the third time after a pitch climb, and another ascending pair set even higher just before the quick loop.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

This theme debuts as the music playing in the sub-game menu. It has no particular style, as it represents a variety of subgames.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]

Due to Kirby on the Draw being a reappearing subgame for Kirby and friends to play in Merry Magoland, the theme is also carried over in a new arrangement imitating the style commonly associated with frantic Western cowboy music and named "Kirby on the Draw - Title"[2]. Notably, however, the remix used as the default title music features a whistle based on "Float Islands" that plays over the normal instrumentation.

Completing all standard missions for Kirby on the Draw will unlock the original version of the theme, presented as a secret song. The remix can be found as Track 80 in the Jukebox, where the original version from Super Star Ultra can also be found as Track 148 once unlocked.
