Onion Ocean is a level hub theme that's from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. This theme can be heard in the level of the same name and was composed by Jun Ishikawa. So far, this theme hasn't been remixed or brought back in any other game (aside from the remake).

Composition[edit]

Kirby pays a visit to the balmy Onion Ocean.

Onion Ocean is a theme in the key of C major. This theme starts with an intro played by a trumpet-like instrument that goes up the first notes of the C scale (C-D-E-F-G) and then goes back to two C notes. This pattern is repeated multiple times in the theme. The theme then has a melody played by a woodwind portion before going back to the melody being played by the said trumpet-like instrument. There is a short portion of the wood wild like instrument playing again before introducing a short portion with a synth-like instrument. While this portion plays, the song transitions to the key of E-flat major. The melody has the same pattern as in the first portion, but with an added melody. As the song returns to C major the song then loops.

As stated above, this theme only plays in Onion Ocean's hub world. This theme is the 25th theme in the Jukebox (33rd in the remake).
