This article is about the music used during Dark Matter's first battle in Kirby's Dream Land 2. For the character, see Dark Matter.

"Dark Matter Blade"[conjectural title] refers to the boss battle theme of Dark Matter's blade form from Kirby's Dream Land 2. It is often referred to by English-speaking fans by the conjectural title "Duel in the Darkened Sky".

Game appearances

Kirby's Dream Land 2

The theme debuts in this game, playing in the first phase of Dark Matter's battle. It can be found as BGM 39 in the game's Sound Test.

Kirby: Planet Robobot

Although Dark Matter itself doesn't appear, Dark Matter Clone acts as a surprise boss in Meta Knightmare Returns and The True Arena of Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Dark Matter Clone's battle theme is arranged by Hirokazu Ando and titled "Reproduction of Darkness" (暗黒の復刻 in Japanese). It's a remixed medley of Dark Matter's two themes from Kirby's Dream Land 2, with "Real Dark Matter" playing in the first half and "Dark Matter Blade" playing in the second half.

"Reproduction of Darkness" can be found as Track 150 in the game's Jukebox.
