This article is about the Figure collection theme from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and should not be confused with the Figurine collection theme from Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

"Admiring the Figure Collection" is a theme from Kirby and the Forgotten Land that plays when viewing the Figure collection or trading in Gotcha Machine Alley with an incomplete Figure collection. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando.[1]

Composition[edit]

Kirby admires his brand new capsule.

"Admiring the Figure Collection" is a laid-back theme in melodic G major and 4/4. It features alternating solo marimba and piano with synthesized harmonic support. The melody, following primarily stepwise motion, bears intonational similarities with "Ripple Star: Stage Select", at first in its rising portions. The first section features the melody twice, ending at a low point. This is followed by a smooth modulation to a piano section in A-flat major in a pattern similar to the second phrase's ending, eventually vaguely hinting at "Green Greens" amidst the harmonies. Then, repeating the rising phrase from the start, it further replicates "Ripple Star: Stage Select"'s peak turning point with contrasting parallel octaves in G major; this ends in a tremolo. The marimba then comes back with a resolution based on the immediately preceding part and its first solo. The marimba reaches B-flat major, now in tandem with the piano, and further modulates to the distant G-flat major, leading into the lyrical peak of the piece while still citing the original motif, as well as a phrase that coincidentally resembles the middle section of "The Noble Haltmann". Eventually, it returns to B-flat major's dominant, which shifts chromatically to G-major's dominant. The track then loops.
