This is a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. About Kirby!
We are finally 1 year old! On January 24th, WiKirby reached its first birthday! We've gotten a lot done over the past year, and we thank all of you for your help. The first year for any site is often the most difficult one, but WiKirby glided through it like Kirby on a Warpstar. But we didn't do it alone, we had the help of NIWA, all of the wikis in it, and of course, you!
Have fun and thanks for visiting! Let's make our second year even better than the first! |
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (known in Japan as 星のカービィ2 (Hoshi no Kābī Tsū), Kirby of the Stars 2) is a 2D platforming game for the Game Boy and the third game in the main Kirby series, as well as the sequel to Kirby's Dream Land. Like its predecessors, it was developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The game was first released in Japan on March 21, 1995 and brought to North America on May 1 of the same year, while Europe saw its release on July 31, 1995. It is notable for introducing three of Kirby's Animal Friends: Rick, Coo and Kine. Although released for the same system as the original Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Land 2 was designed with the Super Game Boy adapter cartridge for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in mind. When played using this hardware, the game makes use of the Super Game Boy's features to present certain scenes in more colors than normally possible and assign different preset palettes to all the areas explored by Kirby, as well as providing a special border showing Kirby and his friends on a green and white checkerboard pattern, which is displayed around the game screen. |
