Sodory[from internal data] is an enemy introduced in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, which grants the Sword ability when swallowed.
Sodory is a living sword enemy, with an eye in the hilt and wings in place of the cross-guard. It spends its idle time with its blade embedded softly in the ground, but can quickly swing about when it spots an intruder. Its reach can be quite good, so dealing with it is a priority to avoid getting slashed.
Sodory later reappears in New Challenge Stages, but only appears this time in the Sword Challenge, the Fighter Combat Chamber and the Magolor Race 1. Sodory returns in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but, interestingly enough, is only encountered in Dedede's Drum Dash, where it serves as an obstacle to be avoided. It also makes a last appearance in Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe, with the same role it had in the original Sub-Game.
