This is a list of Kirby references outside of the Kirby series. For the sake of simplicity, Kirby series material within the Super Smash Bros. series is not included here.

- Kirby's Adventure intro is parodied in the Chapter 2 (Battle of the Birds): Act 4 (Train Rush) on a small TV inside train's caboose.
Animal Crossing
In Animal Crossing for the Nintendo GameCube, a number of custom textile designs are available by scanning e-cards with the e-Reader. One of these designs is based on Kirby.
Arcana
- In the intro cutscene, Kirby can be seen twice during Galneon's army showcase. This reference is particularly notable due to the fact that Arcana was released before Kirby's Dream Land (though Kirby's Dream Land was in production at that time).
Bloons TD 6
- The description for the Mageical Journey ~By BF10 event in week 71 of Odyssey Mode references one of the lyrics featured in the "Song of Supplication" from Kirby Star Allies.
BoxBoy! series

Bye-Bye BoxBoy!
- Scanning a Kirby-series amiibo into the game allows Qbby to wear a costume based on Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, or Waddle Dee, depending on which amiibo was used. The boxes he produces while wearing these costumes resemble Star Blocks.
- The comics "So Close, Yet..." and "Suit Up!" feature Kirby cameos, with the latter comic also having the Robobot Armor. "So Close, Yet..."'s description also references the Star Warriors from Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.
BoxBoy! + BoxGirl!
- The comic "How to make friends!" features Qbby tossing boxes in a similar fashion to Friend Hearts from Kirby Star Allies, but accidentally hitting Kirby at the end of the comic.
Cookie Clicker
- One of the randomly-chosen grandma names is Zan Tart-izanne.[1] This is one of the many names submitted by a supporter for the game on Patreon.
Dadish 2
- The level intro cutscenes for both games resemble those from Kirby's Dream Land 2, even having the same font used for the names of the levels.
Donkey Konga
In Donkey Konga, one of the songs that can be played is the 4Kids theme song for Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. The Japanese version of the game features the second theme from the Japanese version of the show instead.

EarthBound
- In the debug menu of EarthBound, a sprite of Kirby is used as the cursor.
The Henry Stickmin Collection
In the fifth game of The Henry Stickmin Collection, titled "Fleeing the Complex", the Warp Star is referenced as an optional course of action in the game.
Before the remastered collection was released, the reference could be found in the original single game on Newgrounds and Stickpage, also titled Fleeing the Complex.
Mario series
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
- In the second level of the Turtle Zone, an enemy named Unibō which strongly resembles a Gordo appears.
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
- In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, there is an enemy called Milde which has a superficial resemblance to Kirby, being pink and spherical with red feet and cheek blush.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
- At the Yoshi Theater, there is a poster for a Kirby-themed movie named "Kirby Story".
Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- By scanning a Kirby amiibo, a special racing suit based on him can be unlocked for Mii characters.
Super Mario Maker
- Three of the costumes Mario can wear using the Mystery Mushroom power-up are based off of Kirby, King Dedede and Meta Knight. Each of these costumes uses sound effects from Kirby's Adventure.
Miitopia
Part Time UFO (Nintendo Switch)
- Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, and many Waddle Dees cameo as plush toys in the two-star version of Toy Shop 2. A star is also present in the same stage, analogous to the Warp Star.
Picross NP
Volume 3 of the Japanese-exclusive Super Famicom series Picross NP is based around the Kirby series. There are 12 total puzzles, based on the following characters/objects, in order:
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon
The game Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon for the Nintendo 3DS features an entity called "Dark Matter" as its main villain. This entity is very similar in look and ability to the Dark Matter from the Kirby series.
Save me Mr Tako!
The indie game Save me Mr Tako! bases its visuals on several Game Boy games, including Kirby's Dream Land and Kirby's Dream Land 2. The game's titular protagonist greatly resembles Flotzo. The game also features level hubs similar to those from Kirby's Adventure, as well as many enemies that look similar to Kirby series characters and enemies.
Skullgirls
- One of the costumes for Big Band is based on King Dedede, called "Dream Band".
- One of the costumes for Annie of the Stars is based on Meta Knight, with her plush Sagan using Kirby's colors.
Star Fox Zero
- In the animated video promoting Star Fox Zero, "Star Fox Zero - The Battle Begins", a magazine in Slippy Toad's possession has several planet names from Milky Way Wishes on it (namely Floria, Aqualiss, Mecheye, and Halfmoon).
Stunt Race FX
- In the Super NES game Stunt Race FX, a number of billboards can be found on some of the courses which depict Kirby, as he appears in artwork for Kirby's Adventure.
Taiko no Tatsujin series
Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure
- Kirby and King Dedede made a guest appearance in this game, serving as the battle members.
Taiko no Tatsujin (2011)
- From Taiko no Tatsujin: Yellow Ver. onward [needs verification], Don Wada can wear costumes based on Kirby and Meta Knight. The Kirby costume is unlocked after playing "Kirby's Dream Land Medley" from [[Kirby's Return to Dream Land|Template:KRtDL KAW]], and the Meta Knight costume is unlocked after completing the arrangement of "Boarding the Halberd" from Kirby Super Star Ultra.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!
- The Kirby costume reappears in this game, albeit available from the start.
Tetris 99
- There are two Kirby-based themes in Tetris 99, one themed after Super Kirby Clash (made available starting on 9/20/2019 at 8:00 am UTC) and one themed after Kirby Fighters 2 (made available 1/8/2021 at 7:00 am UTC). They were released in special events called Maximus Cups.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
- An enemy known as Anti-Kirby appears in this game, with a near-identical appearance to Kirby and the same inhaling abilities as well.
- The Sea Urchin enemy greatly resembles Gordo.
Yoshi's Woolly World / Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World
- In both games, by scanning a corresponding amiibo, costumes based on Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight can be unlocked. Additionally, Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World features a Waddle Dee costume, also unlocked by scanning the corresponding amiibo.
