Discussion

The old logo is still well-designed and shows off Kirby's transformative abilities, but the new logo also looks good. Alex95 (talk) 04:40, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

I do enjoy the present logo, however, the new one seems to bring a new dawn upon WiKirby. MetaDragon (talk) 06:40, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

So here are my two cents. If you look closely at the current logo, you will see that it has been entirely pilfered from official Kirby artwork and cobbled together. This is particularly noticeable in the fact that the borders are not cleaned up properly, suggesting a "fan-transparency". Meanwhile, while the new logo borrows art from Canvas Curse, there are many more original modifications to it, and the presentation is overall cleaner. As such, even if we do vote to keep the old logo, I would highly suggest remaking it so that at least it appears to be original. The very least we could do is clean up the borders. --Samwell (talk) 16:44, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

I agree with Samwell Superbound (talk) 04:14, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
If you agree with me, then why did you vote for Option 2 first? :P --Samwell (talk) 04:15, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Specifying: I agree that if Option 2 wins, it should at least have borders cleaned-up (or something), but my overall opinion on subject is similar to Alex's. Superbound (talk) 04:24, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

If the new one becomes the logo, maybe the old one should be archived somewhere that's easy to access, or maybe on its own page, something similar to how the Mario Wiki uses what I assume is an old logo on the BJAODN page (A page chock full of random nonsense that, while funny, but had to be removed) -Mags (talk) 17:21, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

Naturally the old logo would be archived if we vote this new one in. No reason just to get rid of it. --Samwell (talk) 17:22, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

I vote Option 1. Option 2 needs a little cleanup. Option 3 would be reserved for when an upcoming Kirby game that becomes the most popular Kirby game to the same effect as Breath of the Wild did to Zelda or Odyssey did to Mario. The Kirbinator (talk) 23:09, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

By its 10-year tenure the wiki has undergone a lot of changes, the great resurgence, all to the better. The default pink skin I was firstly disinclined to (drastic change), with a few tweaks it's quite more eyeful than the classic one all those years wiki has had. So, I don't know for too far back, but both the series and the wiki have established and are still proactively using the K, and to both it became kinda iconic on the 'net. There's no "outdating" to be had, provided we keep passionately writing all about puffs and borbs all the way back even older times than some of ourselves. However refresh is eventually good, but I'm little more inclined to the established abbrevation/logogram being the centerpiece (opposing the emblem, as actively used inside the games and not outside minus KDC - just like we use them here as GA/GP and FA/FP emblems). —Viperision (talk) 11:05, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
