Gigi

Statement

I'm Gigi. I've been editing the wiki since September 2019, but only really became active in February 2020. I became a patroller in late March 2020, and was promoted to administrator in late August 2020. I edit this wiki because I believe the Kirby series deserves a high quality independent wiki to help its players, and if I want to I should help with it.

I feel honored to be nominated for the Editor-in-Chief role by so many people, and I am gladly willing to take the role and all its responsibilities. I believe I would be a good fit for the EiC role due to my never-ending passion for Kirby (I've been a fan of the series since early 2009) and my experience as a leader both in real life and in other communities in the internet. My intentions are to listen to the WiKirby community and help guide it to the best direction, rather than simply enforcing my personal beliefs: I am very open to dialogue. I am also constantly active both in the wiki itself and its Discord server, and I don't see that changing anytime soon, so I should be available to give input and join in discussions.

I also want to be transparent that I also fully support StrawberryChan, and I am confident the community will make the right decision, no matter which of us ends up being chosen.

StrawberryChan

Statement

Howdy! I'm Erika. I go by StrawberryChan on the wiki, and I've been an active editor since around December of 2018. I was promoted to a patroller in January 2020, then an administrator in May of 2020, after roughly a year and a half of editing. Most of my edits are to clean up and expand upon existing information, as well as add Japanese translations and create new pages; my focus is primarily on soundtracks. For these past two years, I feel like I've been accepted into a wonderful community, I've built incredible relationships, and I've generally become a better person.

I'm honored to be nominated for Editor-in-Chief. The voters' trust in me fills me with overwhelming joy, and I want to do my best to meet their expectations. In addition to maintaining an active role in the wiki's community, I believe that my life-long love for the Kirby series, my meticulousness and attention to detail, and my flexibility and willingness to listen to others are aspects that make me suitable for such an important role. I want to make WiKirby the best community it can be, not just for facts and information, but for its users as well. I want WiKirby to be a welcoming place for all, one of tolerance and communication, where nobody feels excluded or isolated. This may seem like an odd goal, but I believe that the community is the backbone for the wiki, and should be a healthy place for its users; after all, you can't have good articles without the writers behind them.

Finally, I want to say that I fully endorse Gigi's nomination, too. She's a close friend of mine, and I absolutely trust in her statement that she will lead the wiki in a fair and unbiased manner. With that, I hope you all have a wonderful night!
