The Game Boy is a portable handheld console released by Nintendo on April 21, 1989 in Japan and July 31, 1989 in North America. 5 Kirby games are playable on it, with one of those games being the first game in the series.

Trivia
- The remote controller of Mecha-Kirby from Kirby: Planet Robobot resembles a Game Boy.
- In the Extra Planet δ stage of Kirby Star Allies, the formation of platforms that appears just before the monochrome area is meant to resemble a Game Boy.
- The Dream Land GB stage in the Super Smash Bros. series is based on both the Game Boy and Kirby's Dream Land.
