'''Flowery Woods''' is a boss in ''[[Kirby: Triple Deluxe]]''. It bears a strikingly similar appearance to [[Whispy Woods]], only with a green trunk at the base of which flowers bloom, a small flower blooming from the tip of its nose, and large, razor-sharp flowers blooming from star-shaped clusters of smaller flowers that replace the expected apples and leaves, respectively. Flowery Woods is the boss of ''Triple Deluxe''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> first Level, [[Fine Fields]], and it is also battled in [[The Arena#Triple Deluxe|The Arena]]. The game's pause-screen description of Flowery Woods states that it had been an ordinary flower blooming in [[Floralia]] until [[Taranza]] used his magic to make it grow large and hostile.

Flowery Woods starts off with only two attacks, and the battle is markedly similar to the one with [[Whispy Woods]] in the early games. Once Flowery is down to half-health however, it jumps into the background and unleashes a great deal of new attacks, much more than Whispy had, even in ''[[Kirby's Return to Dream Land]]''.

Flowery Woods' first battle phase plays similarly to the standard Whispy Woods battle; it stays rooted on the right side of the battlefield and cycles through three simple attacks: 1) two or three of the large blossoms drop their golden fruit onto the ground, which roll towards [[Kirby]] (much like Whispy's apples); 2) Flowery Woods blows two consecutive bursts of air at Kirby; and 3) Flowery Woods blows four consecutive bursts of air at Kirby.

If Kirby does not possess a [[Copy Ability]], this boss phase can still taken out by inhaling the blossoms' fruit and spitting them out at Flowery Woods.
The following lists all of Flowery Woods' attacks in Story Mode and [[The Arena]] in ''Kirby: Triple Deluxe''. Attacks in italics are used in the second phase of the fight only.

The second battle phase is significantly more complicated than the first, as it brings the background into play; this phase shares some similarities with Whispy Woods' second battle phase in ''[[Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards|Kirby 64]]''. Flowery Woods begins by jumping onto the landmass in the background, making itself unable to be attacked directly. Its new attacks (which go in order once and then may randomize) is as follows: 1) several of the large blossoms drop fruit, which roll at random angles into the foreground; 2) Flowery Woods burrows its roots into the ground, causing five large root-ends to jut out from under the foreground's floor at even intervals and random angles like large spikes; 3) Flowery Woods spits out three consecutive air bursts at Kirby then six consecutive bursts across the length of the foreground; 4) Flowery Woods jumps into the foreground, growing slightly larger before slamming down onto the spot where Kirby had been standing when it initially jumped; 5) Flowery Woods returns to the background, and four of the razor-sharp blossoms consecutively enter the foreground, spinning and aimed at Kirby; 6) Flowery Woods again burrows its roots into the ground, resulting in two of them protruding from the ground on either side of Flowery Woods, and they grow straight out into the foreground, targeting the sides of the battlefield; 7) Flowery Woods jumps onto the left side of the background and repeats the previous attack, its roots growing into the center and right side of the foreground; [[File:FloweryWoods_Phase2.jpg|right|thumb|250px|Flowery Woods' second battle phase]]8) Flowery Woods jumps onto the right side of the background and grows its roots into the center and left side of the foreground; 9) Flowery Woods repositions itself in the center of the background and burrows its roots into the ground again, this time, causing one enormous root to come out of the ground on each side of Flowery Woods, which slam straight down into the foreground, separate and sweep into the sides, then sweep back together; 10) Flowery Woods jumps into the center of the foreground and burrows its roots into the ground, causing a spike-like root to jut out of the ground on the far side of the battlefield at a random angle on each side of it; 11) Flowery Woods repeats its previous attack, the roots instead jutting out of the ground right next to Flowery Woods; 12) Flowery Woods repeats attack #4, except before returning to the background, it jumps up, grows slightly larger, and slams down on Kirby's (previous) position two additional times in a row; and 13) (after repeating attack #1) Flowery Woods jumps into the center of the foreground and blows several consecutive air bursts at Kirby in close quarters.
Whenever Flowery Woods is in the background, it cannot be damaged directly. However, Kirby can attack its roots (in any of their forms) whenever they are present in the foreground, which damages the boss as if it were being hit directly. Objects that can be inhaled and spat out at Flowery Woods (or its roots) in the second phase of battle are the pollen boulders, the razor-sharp blossoms themselves (which can instead be swallowed to gain the [[Cutter]] ability), and the [[Star]]s that appear following the majority of Flowery Woods' attacks.

Flowery Woods is a boss in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It bears a strikingly similar appearance to Whispy Woods, only with a green trunk at the base of which flowers bloom, a small flower blooming from the tip of its nose, and large, razor-sharp blossoms blooming from star-shaped clusters of smaller flowers that replace the expected apples and leaves, respectively. Flowery Woods is the boss of Triple Deluxe's first Level, Fine Fields, and it is also battled in The Arena. The game's pause-screen description of Flowery Woods states that it had been an ordinary flower blooming in Floralia until Taranza used his magic to make it grow large and hostile.

Battle

Flowery Woods starts off with only two attacks, and the battle is markedly similar to the one with Whispy Woods in the early games. Once Flowery is down to half-health however, it jumps into the background and unleashes a great deal of new attacks, much more than Whispy had, even in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Attack Description
Pollen Drop
Flowery drops two to three big grains of pollen from its flowers that bounce along the ground. These can be inhaled and spat back at the boss.
Puff Attack
Flowery spits two to four puffs of air that travel a short distance then rise up or down. In the second phase, this attack is done from the background and Flowery fires up to six at a time.
Giant Pollen Drop
While in the background, Flowery drops four to six giant pollen boulders that bounce into the foreground in a semi-erratic manner. These can still be inhaled.
Root Spike
While in the background, Flowery digs its roots into the ground, which spring out of the ground as spikes, one at a time, up to five. Attacking them deals damage. Each one leaves a star when it retracts.
Trunk Stomp
From the background, Flowery uproots and jumps into the air, then moves into the foreground, grows somewhat in size, and attempts to stomp Kirby. This creates stars on both sides of the tree on impact. Flowery may attempt multiple jumps in one go.
Blossom Cutters
While in the background, Flowery sends its four blossoms out as spinning rotary blades that move into the foreground. These can be inhaled, or swallowed for the Cutter Ability.
Combo Root
While in the background, Flowery digs its roots into the ground, which spring out just before the foreground and curl into place both left and right of center stage, leaving stars as they retract. Flowery then jumps to a side and extends its roots again to cover the majority of the stage with roots (only leaving the side it is on exposed), following that with the same maneuver on the other side. Flowery then finishes by creating two giant roots that slam down on the left and right edges of the stage, then move together in an attempt to squish anything in the middle. The roots can be attacked to deal damage.
Trunk Stomp + Root Spike
From the background, Flowery uproots and jumps into the air, then moves into the foreground and attempts to stomp Kirby. This creates stars on both sides of the tree on impact. After this, Flowery digs its roots into the ground and tries to spike Kirby with them. The root spike is done twice before returning to the background.
Trunk Stomp + Puff Attack
From the background, Flowery uproots and jumps into the air, then moves into the foreground and attempts to stomp Kirby. This creates stars on both sides of the tree on impact. After this, Flowery attempts to use its puff attack on Kirby, banking on the reduced space offered to avoid the attack.

Whenever Flowery Woods is in the background, it cannot be damaged directly. However, Kirby can attack its roots (in any of their forms) whenever they are present in the foreground, which damages the boss as if it were being hit directly. Objects that can be inhaled and spat out at Flowery Woods (or its roots) in the second phase of battle are the pollen boulders, the razor-sharp blossoms themselves (which can instead be swallowed to gain the Cutter ability), and the Stars that appear following the majority of Flowery Woods' attacks.

This article or section is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it's being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.
No reason has been specified.

A more powerful version of this boss, Flowery Woods DX, is battled at the end of Lv. 1 of Dededetour! and in The True Arena. Flowery Woods DX is generally darker than the first Flowery Woods, with a dark red trunk, purple roots, and darker leaves. Te large clumps of leaves are now more diamond shaped, instead of stars, and the flowers on Flowery Woods DX's trunk and treetop have pointed petals, instead of the curved ones of the previous incarnation.

Trivia

  • According to Flowery Woods DX's pause-screen description, Flowery Woods' relation to Whispy Woods is unknown.
