Wapod is a type of enemy debuting in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It resembles a ghostly Waddle Dee, which is brighter than a regular one and possesses a tail-like extension at the bottom instead of feet. It resides in a tall, brown vase, painted with a pattern of red and white triangles near its base.

As soon as Kirby approaches a vase, the Wapod dwelling inside rises up from it, stopping in midair once it reaches a certain altitude, which differs for individual specimens. The Wapod does not move or attack after it has reached its highest point, but both the spirit and the vase it lives in may harm Kirby if he bumps into either. Defeating a Wapod by using any attack or inhaling it immediately causes a new one to materialize from its container. The only way to eliminate it permanently is to destroy the jar, which is likewise vulnerable to any attack and does not respawn until Kirby leaves and re-enters the room, alongside its inhabitant. Wapods yield no abilities.
