Userpage

Can I create my own page please! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jude da Dude (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments by typing ~~~~!

Hi there, you need to first be autoconfirmed first, which happens after you've had your account for at least 24 hours and made at least 5 edits. Please refer to here.
Also, I've noticed you keep doing null edits to userpages and leaving messages to users in the edit summaries rather than in talk pages. These edits cannot be approved (and once you are autoconfirmed, they simply won't exist at all); to leave messages for other users, you need to use their talk pages. Please see the talk page policy for more information. - Gigi (talkedits) 14:52, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

Music uploads

Hi Jude. Congrats on making your first page! It's very well-made! I just wanted to let you know that when you're uploading music to the wiki, it has to be 30 seconds or less because of copyright law. Feel free to reupload Level 6 Map Select after you trim it down to 30 seconds! --DeepFriedCabbage 07:38, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

Jude, per the policy page linked to you above, notice how we require you fill the "Aboutfile" template. WiKirby does not admit unsourcered files, in particular; please read our sourcing standards. Also, can you please reply to the messages in your talk page? In particular, I am wondering about my invite to WiKirby's Discord server. - Gigi (talkedits) 19:16, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

My bad about the file. Also, I've joined your Discord just now! by Jude da Dude

Quick notice and Discord invite

Hi Jude da Dude. First of all, good job in most of your contributions so far! Secondly, I just want to say I deleted "Blue, Blue Breeze" which you created as a redirect, since that's separate on Template:Navbox-KatFL Music which generally implies we want that song to be a separate page. In particular, pages of leitmotifs (or songs with many remixes) like Welcome to the New World! we generally lean to making separate pages for some notable arrangements. With goes a bit to my last point: if you can, I highly recommend you to join our Discord server so that you can be more up to date on what is going on on the WiKirby and discuss things like that further. Thanks! - Gigi (talkedits) 16:25, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

Regarding the two (duplicate) files

Hey there! First off, thanks for your recent contributions, and your warm message at my wall ;) I'm here right now to ask about two files you've uploaded, File:KNIDL Level 3 Map Select.mp3 and File:Level 3 Map Select KNIDL.mp3. Is there a specific reason why you uploaded the second one? The files are exactly the same, so if you just wanted to change the file name, you can use the move feature instead of reuploading.
On a different note, you don't necessarily need to fill out the license parameter, it fills itself automatically; however, you do need to link to the specific source of the file, using singular brackets and a space instead of double brackets and |. Anyway, happy editing, and keep up the good work ShadowKirby (t/c) a.k.a. your new overlord ShadowMagolor 13:04, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

Moving pages, and general wiki stuff

Hi Jude da Dude. I see you tried to move the Fortress of Shadows - Jambastion by basically recreating it under a new name and blanking the page with the original name. That's not how you move pages, and in particular, we highly advise to not move pages without prior discussion. Please read our policy page about moving pages. That page in particular has had no discussion over the proposed move, so please don't try to move it just yet, if anything start a talk page discussion about it. Also, it appears you are in general new to wiki editing, so I highly advise you to read over our policies in general, which can be found here. - Gigi (talkedits) 14:30, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

Discussion is important

Hey there Jude, it's me again. I see you created "Crystal Area" but... the talk page on the Green Greens (theme) page hadn't reached a consensus to split that off yet. I had told you before to not move pages without discussion, and while this one did have discussion, you still prematurely created it without the talk page coming to a conclusion. In particular, we were discussing what was going to be covered in that page and what wasn't. I know you want to help, but as a tip, going around creating things fast or without proper direction often is worse than doing less but slower. I am going to move that page to a sandbox under your username so that we can first finish that discussion, and then properly move it back to mainspace if we do come to the agreement to move that page. You are also free to comment on that talk page to discuss the subject, by the way. - Gigi (talkedits) 21:28, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

Moving someone's draft to mainspace without permission

Hi, I noticed you moved Waddlez3121's draft of the Corkboard theme article without asking her first via her talkpage. This is tangentially related to a past message that's above this one - please refrain from moving drafts that are not yours to mainspace unless if an agreement is reached (permission is granted from the original author of the draft, in layman's terms) on the user's talkpage. You may move your own drafts to mainspace provided they have enough information, but this is not treated the same if you're attempting to do this on another user's draft. Please feel free to leave a response if you have anything to say about this subject matter. I appreciate the responses. -- KatFL language C.svgKatFL language Y.svgKatFL language O.svgKatFL language N.svg (profile ::: talk) 15:01, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
