Starman is an enemy found in Kirby's Adventure, its remake Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby: Squeak Squad, and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It is a yellow-beige star with a blue cape and a red gem fastening the cape around its shoulders.
Starmen are mostly found in areas which involve long vertical passages, as well as appearing during the battles with Kracko and Mecha-Kracko. They walk around casually, and jump at random times. They are also occasionally seen flying around horizontally. They do not seem to jump more or less often when Kirby is around than when he is not. When Kirby swallows a Starman, he receives the Hi-Jump ability. Starman is the only enemy to yield this ability.
Starman appears in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but is only encountered during Dedede's Drum Dash. As such, it cannot provide the Hi-Jump ability in that game.
