Point Stars are an item which debuted in Kirby's Dream Land 2, and have reappeared in several subsequent games. Collecting a certain number of them (depending on the game) will reward Kirby with a 1-Up.
The number collected to earn a 1-Up varies depending on the game: seven in Dream Land 2, thirty in Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64, and 100 in the most recent games.
Yellow stars are worth one, green are worth five, red are worth ten, and blue are worth thirty. In Dededetour!, they look like King Dedede's emblem while in Meta Knightmare Returns they look like Meta Knight's emblem.
In Kirby's Dream Land 2, they are called Small Stars, and in Kirby's Dream Land 3 they are called Star Pieces.
