Kirby starts out at the bottom of a large, blue tower in a starry night setting, like the ones found in Stage 4. Kirby must ascend the tower by climbing up many ladders leading to the top. On his way up, the path becomes more narrow, until he finds an open area where he can pick up an ability if desired. After equipping himself, Kirby can use a Warp Star to blast off to another tower. There he must walk through a hallway, but something isn't right: the jingle that plays after defeating a boss plays throughout the hallway instead of an intense melody. At the end of the hallway, the Mast is finally in sight. As Kirby reaches for it, Grand Doomer appears, gobbles up the Lor's mast and engages Kirby and his friends in combat. When his health is at 50% or under, he encases himself in a solid mass and Kirby must get rid of it using the Ultra Sword.
