Gip

|
Gip is a regular enemy that first appeared in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. It replaced Bounder from the original game, Kirby's Adventure, and is one of the few enemies who replaced an enemy from the original version. Gip is based on the popular concept of flying pigs. It usually patrols the ground or clings to walls, shooting star-shaped projectiles at Kirby in order to hurt him. Gip's name is the word "pig", which it is based on, backwards. Gip, like a handful of other enemies, does not give any ability upon being swallowed.
It is unknown why Gip replaced Bounder in the remakes it has appeared in.
