Seperate Article[edit]

Why is this a seperate article from Lololo & Lalala, just for the one battle where Lololo appears on his own? And despite the text at the top claiming that the article is about that battle, it actually appears to be about the character in general, as it covers his appearances together with Lalala as well (it even claims he "always" appears with Lalala). Should this redirect to the aforementioned Lololo & Lalala article, which already covers the character?--Vellidragon 20:37, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Since the one battle he appears in alone is mentioned (in more detail!) in Lololo & Lalala, this separate article does seem redundant. Not so sure the top section's supposed to mean the article's about that one battle, but as I said, it's more detailed at Lololo & Lalala. I say redirect, unless there's going to be enough information about Lololo to validate a separate article. Moydow 20:57, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
As far as I'm aware, Lololo practically never appears without Lalala apart from that one battle in a single game, and the characters are basically portrayed as a male and a female version of the same character in the Anime, so I doubt there is ever going to be enough unique information on Lololo to warrant a seperate page when there's already an article on the duo; keeping an article on one particular appearance of a character when said character is already covered elsewhere seems like a pointless split-up of information to me. The Lalala article has already been redirected to Lololo & Lalala as well, so this probably makes more sense as a redirect there too; if anyone can name a good reason why this seperate article is needed though, feel free to revert.--Vellidragon 15:08, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Old discussion, but I completely agree. It seems the page was somewhat recently remade without taking this talk page or that existing Lololo & Lalala article into account. AdieuLain (talk) 21:14, 22 August 2019 (UTC)
At this time, I see no reason why this article cannot exist as is. Back in 2010, this was a much more incomplete page, but as it is now, it has a good length with more than one example of Lololo by himself. That, and it helps categorize things better, since Lololo by himself is usually seen as a Mid-Boss rather than a Boss. --Fubaka (talk) 00:44, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
By my count, that's only happened twice (not counting Lololo and Lalala getting separate stickers in Planet Robobot, which also happened to Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright): Kirby's Dream Land and Kirby's Blowout Blast, the latter of which is itself loosely based on the former. I'm not sure if that's really significant enough for a separate article; for example, Chao's appearances aren't split between "Chao" and "Goku & Chao" articles, as the Goku character fits rather easily within the same article. I think this article can at least be rewritten to be more explicitly about Lololo as a mid-boss so it doesn't come across as mostly a duplicate of the established Lololo & Lalala article. Sometimes wiki pages will inevitably tread the same ground, and that's okay, so long as they are sufficiently distinct in their subject matter. If you feel like this article could use a rewrite, go for it, but I still think it ought to be its own page, if only for the sake of those moments where Lololo appears alone. --Fubaka (talk) 23:10, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
Couldn't we still easily cover that in the duo's article? I think we should either give both of them their own articles, or have their solo appearances merged with Lololo & Lalala. If Mr. Bright appeared on his own, would we give him his own article with just info on that, while still keeping Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright? --DeepFriedCabbage 21:06, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
Aye, I suppose we could. I concede. If you guys want to have this article canned, go for it. Just make sure any prescient details not mentioned in the Lololo & Lalala article are transferred over first. --Fubaka (talk) 21:29, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
