"Aqua Star: Stage Select"[conjectural title] is the stage select theme for Aqua Star from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. This theme can be found as the 26th theme in the Sound Check.
Composition[edit]
"Aqua Star: Stage Select" is a short, 6/8-timed theme in the key of C major. The pulsation is characteristic of a tarantella, much like the instrumentation, which consists of a lead recorder backed by an accordion and tambourine. The melody features a rising broken tonic triad in first inversion. After it plays twice with slight differences, a middle section in C minor follows. This section has descending scale-like passages, which similarly play twice, the second time ending in the dominant. The track loops from there.
