Howdy! I've noticed you been doing some good work around the wiki lately. I was wondering if you'd be interested in joining our Discord server since being there gets you more involved with the community and advice can be provided more easily, especially since most of us staff members are members--if those things are what you want, of course.

You can reach the server by using this link if you're interested in checking things out.

Whether you join or not, great job on the wiki so far! -- Jellytost (talk) 03:19, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

Of course! Thanks for the invitation, I'm already joining in. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 03:35, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

Dear Kirbeat,[edit]

Dear Kirbeat,I thank you for correcting me about the whole "Epic Yarn" thing. (I, too, get annoyed at small mistakes.) I know I am not an admin or anything, but I think that you really shouldn't edit other people's talk pages. If you want someone to correct their page, you could try discussing the matter on their talk page. So please, while I do not have any authority over anyone here, I would recommend that you do not intrude on other people's personal pages. Thank you in advance.--Marx4Smash (talk) 16:00, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

While I do think that posting a message like this several weeks after the fact over an edit that only added one letter and explained itself in the edit summary is a bit of an overreaction on your part, Marx4Smash, I do in principle agree that users should not edit other peoples' userpages (the only exception being for purposes of wiki maintenance, which the staff tends to handle). I don't think anything more needs to be said on this matter. --Samwell (talk) 16:21, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
I understand. I won't edit other people userpages from now on, and it's true that editing userpages of external Users aside from maintenance isn't so right. I apologize for any type of discomfort that my edit could have done. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 19:29, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

Greetings, Kirbeat. WiKirby's staff has noticed your history of good contributions, and you have been formally picked to receive a promotion to Patroller. Becoming a Patroller has the following additional powers and duties:

  • Permission to mark articles as Good.
  • Ability to mark edits as "patrolled".
  • The ability to roll back multiple edits on a page (typically to curtail vandalism).
  • Recognition as part of WiKirby's staff, both here and in NIWA at large.
  • Access to the Shiver Star Discord #staffchat channel.

Do you accept this offer? --Samwell (talk) 00:51, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello, thanks for the offer! And yes, I accept being a Patroller on WiKirby. I want WiKirby to be a good and trustful resource of information about the Kirby series, and I, as a Patroller, will help to it by patrolling contributions when I can, mark as Good the articles that deserve it, and fight back any vandalism that I spot. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 21:08, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
Sounds good. I'll make the necessary changes right away. --Samwell (talk) 21:08, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

"KRtDL Beta" images[edit]

I noticed that you changed summaries of File:KRtDL Beta 1.jpg and File:KRtDL Beta 2.jpg to say Kirby's Return to Dream Land. These two games, like Kirby for Nintendo GameCube itself, are just experiments in different genres and dimensions and don't in any way relate to the final game, so I think it's incorrect to describe them as betas of KRtDL. They're their own canceled games, so they're separate from KGCN too, but that's the article where they are covered. That is where the image descriptions should lead to in my opinion. –Wiz (talk · edits) 05:29, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

The "Beta 2" image already said that it was a beta image of KRtDL, I only changed the summary of the "Beta 1" image to coincide, but yeah, the games that those screenshots represent aren't necessarily betas of KRtDL. In the Iwata Asks about "The Three Lost Kirby Games", which is the source of info about that/those game(s) that comes closer from the developers, and the only source that acknowledges the second and third lost Kirby games for what I know, they don't really refer to them as betas of KRtDL. They just say that those games are "three Kirby games". They say that they made one, then another, then a third one, and after those three scrapped ones, they tried to do another one which wasn't scrapped and ended up becoming Return to Dream Land.
So, treating them as betas of KRtDL doesn't seem ideal, as the developers didn't treat them there as "the same project that had four stages", but more so as "four different projects", although all four of them shared the common goal of being a mainline Kirby game for a home console. But by that, I don't see why the same page covers them, as they seem to be three different projects altogether. Like, instead of being covered in KRtLD's page in a "Development" section, they have their own page, so I don't see why each of the three lost Kirby games doesn't have its own page, although it is true that the second and third one probably doesn't have enough information to substantiate their own pages.
Back to the images' summaries, I agree that it's incorrect to describe them as betas of KRtDL, but I don't think that putting them as being from Kirby for Nintendo GameCube is correct either, as that term has only referred to the first of the three lost games. But even so, I will describe them as "screenshot of the second/third build of Kirby for Nintendo GameCube" because that is what can be done following how those games are currently covered on the wiki. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 18:21, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

Greetings, Kirbeat. It has come to our attention that you've been quite active and helpful on the wiki recently, so on behalf of Gigi, and with her permission, I would like to offer you a promotion to Moderator. The Moderator position can be seen as a "senior" version of the Patroller rank, and comes with the following additional powers/responsibilities:

  1. The ability to moderate edits from new and anonymous users via Special:Moderation.
  2. The authority to settle disputes between users of Patroller rank and below, should that be necessary.

Do you accept? --Samwell (talk) 19:07, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

Yes, I accept, thank you very much to both of you. I will moderate with wariness. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 20:25, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
Alrighty. Take the orange and wear it with pride! --Samwell (talk) 20:30, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
