Style & Formatting[edit]

Hey :3 I have noticed you made some common mistakes in the Milky Way Wishes article you made, so I wanted to inform you how to avoid them in the future. First of all, the title of the article is automatically displayed at the top when the article is viewed by anyone; it's not necessary to create another heading containing the title :3 Secondly, when mentioning the name of the subject in the article for the first time, it should be bold; use three apostrophes to make it bold: '''like this :3'''. ''Italics'' (two apostrophes) are mainly used for names of games, shows, etc., not usually entire sentences. Lastly, if you want to make clear that an article is still expand-worthy or not yet finished, there are some handy templates for this: put {{stub}} at the top of the article if it's very short, or {{construction}} if it's not necessarily short, but only half-finished and still being worked on. Also be sure to take a look at the Help and our Quality Standards to further improve your editing abilities. Thank you for your time, and keep contributing :3 --Vellidragon 08:49, 31 August 2010 (CDT)

stub notice on your user page[edit]

Hi, could you please remove the stub notice on your user page? I'm pretty sure it is meant for articles in the (main) namespace, and not much more outside of that. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 09:26, 4 September 2010 (CDT)

Definitely not on a userpage. It places users' pages in the Stubs category, and userpages should be categorised in user-specific categories only, if at all. I don't think there are any here. Other than this, and spamming, among some other things, you're mostly free to put what you like in your userspace. Moydow 10:15, 4 September 2010 (CDT)
Not to mention it tells people to "help WiKirby" by expanding someone else's userpage. I removed the template from the page before it causes any inconvenience; sorry, Pokemonaqua! If you want to let people know that you are still going to expand your user page further, just put it onto your page as text; templates like Template:Stub are to be used in main space articles only, not on user pages.--Vellidragon 10:32, 4 September 2010 (CDT)
