The SNES Classic Edition (ニンテンドークラシックミニ スーパーファミコン, Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Famicom) is a video game console developed and published by Nintendo. It runs on the Linux operating system and emulates SNES games by using a set of dedicated emulation software developed by Nintendo European Research and Development. It was released in North America and Europe on September 29, 2017, the following day, September 30, 2017 in Australia, and October 5, 2017 in Japan. It comes with 21 SNES games pre-installed.
