Grass Land - Stage 1 is the first stage of Grass Land in Kirby's Dream Land 2. This stage serves as an introduction to the game, and features only Kirby, without any of his Animal Friends or any Mid-Bosses.

Overview

The stage begins in a simple plain area, with no real obstacles at the beginning. To the right, a Waddle Dee is spotted as the first enemy to deal with. From there, more enemies appear to join the fun, and a few Point Stars can be collected on the high ground areas. A door to the next room can be found in a pillar at the right end of the path.

This plains area introduces the concept of platforms that can be dropped down through. One of these leads to a side-chamber where Floaty the Drifter can be found guarding a cache of Star Blocks. Back on the main path, the stage exit can be reached after Kirby busts through a barricade of star blocks in the way. If Kirby collected all the point stars along the way, he should have just enough to earn a 1-Up by the time he reaches the exit.
