Mikes, also known as Microphones,[1] are an item appearing in a few Kirby games, starting with Kirby's Dream Land. Starting with Kirby's Adventure, mikes were replaced with the identically-titled Mike Copy Ability, and have not made many appearances since.

Game appearances

Kirby's Dream Land

In Kirby's Dream Land, mikes appear in fixed locations in certain stages, starting with Castle Lololo. Kirby can inhale a mike, but can only use it by spitting it out. By doing so, Kirby shouts into the Mike, defeating all enemies within range. If Kirby swallows a mike, he loses it, and nothing happens.

In Kirby Air Ride, mikes were renamed to Walky, and they appear as rare items in the Top Ride mode.
