Are interwiki redirects allowed? I'm asking because this user redirected his page to Bulbapedia, and it's being counted as a broken redirect. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 18:21, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

I personally feel that they are acceptable in the userspace. I've seen it happen often on sites like Wikipedia and Wikibooks. The fact it's being treated as a broken redirect is likely due to the fact that there's no page titled 'BP:User:SnorlaxMonster' on WiKirby, and most special pages usually only refer to local pages (with the obvious exception of Special:Interwiki). If it's important to get it off the list of broken redirects, you could suggest that SnorlaxMonster changes it to a soft redirect. Moydow 02:42, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Adam and I once discussed this and agreed that soft redirects would be best so that unsuspecting visitors wouldn't be just whisked away unexpectedly. Problem is everything to do with interwiki tables baffles me. None of my tests with it made sense and I suspect it functions slightly different from wiki to wiki.Axiomist (talk) 04:24, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
