N-Z is an enemy character debuting in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, where they replace Waddle Dee as the weakest and common enemy in that game. They appear to be a black spherical creature with pointy cat-like ears, white feet and small black eyes. They don't give any Copy Abilities to Kirby when inhaled and swallowed.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

This game is the only and debut appearance of N-Zs. There is a Mid-boss in the first stage of Pop Star that is basically a giant N-Z which drops smaller versions of itself.

Appearance

It should be noted that N-Z is the first enemy Kirby encounters in Crystal Shards, first appearing on Pop Star's first stage. Relatively similar to Kirby, they sport a black coat, with white shoes and have pointed ears which are partly folded behind their head. N-Z could be considered semi-common, because it appears on three Stars out of the seven in total. Oddly enough, it appears on the final part of stage three on Ripple Star, where it drops out of a cloud of Dark Matter located on the ceiling, and on Dark Star as the only enemy besides Zero Two. Due to this, it is heavily implied that N-Z is made out of Dark Matter, as it resides in a place where only Dark Matter exists. N-Z also appears on an Enemy Info Card, with the number of ten.
