Line 1: Line 1:
The Rainbow Sword is a weapon in Kirby's Dreamland 2. The sword is used in the battle against the evil Dark Matter. It can only be obtained if all the Rainbow Drops are found, because all the Rainbow Drops are needed to form it.  Otherwise, the bad ending will happen, which would not be good.

The Sword is used against Dark Matter. It does not shot projectiles, but it can be swung. The sword is also like a mirror, as it can bounce back projectiles shot at Kirby.
The Rainbow Sword is a weapon in Kirby's Dreamland 2. It is required to defeat the evil Dark Matter, the main villain of the game. Kirby obtains it automatically after defeating King Dedede if all the Rainbow Drops hidden throughout the game have been recovered, which combine into the sword in a short cutscene.
Trivia
*It is unknown why it is called Rainbow Sword, because it is actually gray, black, and white.  This could be because it could actually be shown rainbow if it appeared in a game with color.
The Rainbow Sword can only be used in the two-phase battle against Dark Matter, the final boss of the game, and is the only weapon that Kirby can use during the fight; likewise, Kirby cannot enter the battle without possessing the sword, instead being taken to a false ending if he defeats King Dedede and is unable to obtain it. Unlike many other weapons used in final battles throughout the Kirby series, it does not shoot projectiles, but can instead be swung at the boss to cause a small amount of damage. The sword can also be used to reflect projectiles fired at Kirby if he uses it at the right moment, causing a significantly larger amount of damage to Dark Matter if he is hit by these projectiles than slashing at him would.

Once Dark Matter is defeated, Kirby briefly loses the sword as he drifts through space exhausted or unconscious, but picks it up again, using it to restore the rainbows connecting the Rainbow Islands that Dark Matter had stolen.
