Covering Blue, Blue Breeze here[edit]

It's been a question I've had on my mind for months, and the talk page creation was sparked by the recently created (and deleted) redirect from "Blue, Blue Breeze" to "Welcome to the New World!". The matter of fact is that it is indeed an arrangement, and not a particularly distinct one at that, albeit while still having some distinct features. The argument of it having "a unique identity" was brought into consideration, as well as the clutter of this page; the case was compared to "The Noble Haltmann". We have a few other similar cases from this game specifically, such as "Dazzling Treasures" for "Running Through the New World", "Faded Dream of a Psychomeddler" for "A Trip to Alivel Mall", and "Circuit Speedway" for "Welcome to Wondaria". Out of these, only "Circuit Speedway" got a new arrangement so far, but it was decided that it should stay under "Welcome to Wondaria" due to their similarity and host page availability. Now, with the more or less recent revamp of "Kirby's Triumphant Return", clutter is less of a concern, so the question is, does the argument of it having its unique identity still stand? Is it distinct enough to be separate? Personally, I would like to see a merge happen, but the talk page is in place to find a majority of opinions. Clutter is definitively a factor considering the recent splits of Rest Area (theme), Fountain of Dreams (theme), and now maybe "Crystal Area" soon from Green Greens (theme). I wouldn't mind splitting off Circuit Speedway for consistency, and in particular that's what I originally wanted. Anyway, considering the general trends the wiki has had lately, it appears the most logical step is to split whenever possible to avoid clutter. I would like to also remind everyone that we are also in the process of creating more medley pages, which also goes in favor of this. One thing I would like to highlight is that by keeping many remixes with their own defining traits in the same page, we often reduce them to just a single sentence mention of them that drastically decreases how much we cover that particular theme in the wiki. That's why for me it makes no sense to keep arrangements with their own identity and quirks in the same page most of the time, and, once again, that is the general way the wiki is currently going. In short, everything points out to keeping those split. - Gigi (talkedits) 16:39, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
