The Pendulum transformation
Pendulum is a normal transformation Kirby and Prince Fluff use in Kirby's Epic Yarn. The Pendulum can only be activated when Kirby and Prince Fluff use their whips to latch on a certain button/
Summary
When latched, the Pendulum transformation takes place and Kirby and Prince Fluff swing to and fro on the button.[1] They can go any direction they please, despite the fact that they are swinging.
The Pendulum transformation is used to access areas of the course unavailable to simply jumping. Not all buttons are stationary, some flowers in Flower Fields will lift the dangling heroes, and some trees can be latched and shaken to drop beads.[2]
