High Jump begins on a runway, with some [[Boost Panel]]s at the end right before a ramp. Once contestants leave the ramp, their height will start to be measured (in feet or meters depending on version). As they fly higher, they will pass through several floors made of different material, meant to serve as markers. Once the maximum height is attained, the contestant's flight will end once they land on one of these floors. Unlike [[Air Glider]], contestants are given two tries to make their jump, with the higher of the two scores kept. | |||
Naturally, [[Air Ride Machine]]s with good flight capabilities (such as the [[Winged Star]] or the [[Dragoon]]) are preferred for this mode, but wheeled machines with high jumping capability can also do very well here.
