While I like the backgrounds, simple and Kirby-related with stars and such, I don't think EVERYTHING needs a background. <nowiki>"Most Wanted Articles"</nowiki> could be much more discreet, like at the bottom of the page, and featured content could be more prominent, so new viewers could see that we do have great articles and not see that we have so much work to do! After seeing our featured article and picture, reading the trivia/did you know section, watching a video, and viewing some articles, then they can make an account and see what they can help with. I also think that the patterns shouldn't be grouped together as much (all blue stars on left and all yellow checkboard on right) because it makes it hard to distinguish between different boxes. Other than those few things, this is looking great. --[[User:TripleD|Triple D is awesome]] 08:19, 29 August 2011 (CDT)

:If not everything has a background, it will look inconsistent like the current main page does, though :\ As for the wanted pages, while I want to replace those with something else anyway (a random list of stubs, to be precise, but would need server access and tacopill's help for that and am not seeing much cooperation at the moment), they're current the best thing we have to direct attention towards things that need to be done (I had been thinking about moving them above the lineup template, even). What needs to be considered is that the wiki lacks a good base of contributors more than anything else, so directing attention towards things that need be done rather than things that already exist seems to make more sense to me; while you do have a point there, not everyone will actually bother to scroll down on the main page and do all these things you presume they would, so hiding this at the bottom seems to limit its utility. As for the grouping together, I'm just following the way it currently (mostly) is, and was thinking it helped telling apart different kinds of information, but then again, I actually don't quite see anymore how the left and the right tower are different, actually. Honestly, the current main page's arrangement is a bit of a mystery to me. I'm going to look at some things later and try to make a more colourful arrangement.--[[User:Vellidragon|Vellidragon]] 10:26, 29 August 2011 (CDT)
