Regarding my Minor Edits

Hey :3 First of all, really nice work there on your articles & general contributions and thank you so much for helping out with Kirby's Return to Dream Land; it's been a long time since WiKirby has had such an active & enthusiastic contributor, and I may have something related to bring up soon :0 At the moment, though, I'd just like to explain my minor changes to the ability articles you made so you know why there were made :3 This is just meant to be an explanation, I'm not blaming you for the mistakes (which were minor ones in any case), just letting you know how these things should ideally be done.
1. "[ability name] Kirby" is typically used for Kirby with the ability in question, not the ability itself, which is just [ability name] like in the navigation templates; the articles said that [ability name] Kirby was a Copy Ability or that [ability name] Kirby could be used (by Kirby) to do something, which was a bit misleading.
2. It's not necessary to repeat the name of the subject in image captions; in an article on Leaf, for instance, it should be obvious that the image depicts the Leaf ability, and what is shown should only be pointed out if it's not what the reader expects or needs further clarification. Generally not a problem, though, it's just that it tends to make the infobox captions two lines long in a 1024x768 resolution when the subject is mentioned while they fit on a single line when it's not, and it doesn't need to be mentioned, so it's nicer to keep it on one line :3
3. The "game" part of the infobox is for other games besides the debut & last game; it should actually show up as "Other Game(s)" on most infoboxes by now. I know the name of the attribute is a bit misleading; that's because game1 & lastgame didn't originally exist when the infoboxes were made. If the subject only appears in one game, just list that game as both "game1" and "lastgame". "game" should only be used if there are other games between the debut & the last one.
I believe that's all and should explain why those changes were made. Do keep up the great work and thank you again for your contributions =3 --Vellidragon 11:51, 2 January 2012 (CST)

Patroller

Hallo there :3 Given that you've been making fairly good edits & seem to understand our standards well (or at least seem to be learning fast) and are also probably our most enthusiastic editor in a long time, and that WiKirby is experiencing a severe lack of staff (as is not hard to see here... I would like to ask you if you wish to be promoted to patroller rank on here :3 (Wall of text ahead, beware :p)
The link has some information, but for clarity, a patroller is a staff member below admin rank whose responsibility it is (alongside the rest of the active wiki staff) to check people's edits on the recent changes & make sure everything is alright about them (and make adjustments if needed); that should be nothing new to you, as you have been making lots of minor fixes here and there anyway. A new feature you'll get is the ability to mark edits as patrolled, which hides them your and other staff members' view by default and should be done when you have made sure the edit is acceptable (likewise, edits that I have checked & marked will be hidden for you by default so you know that they've already been checked). I'm gonna say right now though that at the moment, there really aren't many edits being made by people other than the two of us, so there's really not much to do at the current time, but I would like to actually have someone else on the staff just in case ;3 There's some more minor privileges not listed on WiKirby:Patrol, like being allowed to moderate the vote on featured content & granted access to the (currently mostly inactive) secret staff forum (eventually, at least; currently, only Adam can approve accounts on there, and I don't know if he even checks it anymore) & the (currently equally inactive) skype staff chat (if you have a skype account & accept the promotion, just let me know your skype name so I can add you, or contact tacopill on skype if he's on; I will notify him of the promotion and he'll know what to do). There's also the nice bit about showing up on the staff page :p
Like I said though, there's the potential responsibility of checking edits now and then, and while there's not much to do at present time, I can't say how wiki activity may develop in the future, so you should still be ready to "patrol" from time to time. You are free to turn this down or resign from the staff later, this is just an offer as I think the wiki could profit a lot from having you on the staff :3 --Vellidragon 15:48, 9 January 2012 (CST)

I will accept this offer, and I am honoured to attain to have the opportunity to attain this position. I currently do not have a Skype account, but will look into creating one soon if it becomes necessary. Thank you for the promotion offer! :D T.c.w7468 21:19, 9 January 2012 (CST)
Awesome :3 Welcome aboard! A Skype account would be nice as the main WiKirby-related discussions not taking place on this very wiki tend to be handled on Skype (at least they were, the last time there was some actual staff). I'll provide a link to the staff forum as well as soon as there's actually an easy possibility of being approved on there. Do you happen to have an account on the NIWA forum? I believe you'll be marked as WiKirby staff there as well. Hope it's okay if I look into those things tomorrow, though, it's very late in my time zone, so I also apologise if this all sounds a bit half-hearted :p--Vellidragon 22:08, 9 January 2012 (CST)
It's okay :3. I do have an account on the NIWA forum with the same name as here. T.c.w7468 22:10, 9 January 2012 (CST)
Alright, that went quicker than expected. Got someone to add you to the WiKirby Staff group there; enjoy :3 --Vellidragon 22:52, 9 January 2012 (CST)
