Swerve Star
The Swerve Star is a machine used in Kirby Air Ride. It is a green, upside-down pyramid-shaped machine with two pairs of floating opposite pyramids on both sides. The green energy generated from the two pyramid pairs propels this machine while the two pyramid pairs spin.
The Swerve Star is a very unusual machine. It cannot turn unless it is charging. However, its charge is quite fast, and it turns fast when charging. It also has high acceleration and top speed, making it zip almost instantly after it moves. This machine has quite poor gliding, though. Also, when it is charging, the machine stops instantly instead of sliding, unlike most Air Ride machines.
In Air Ride, the player must finish 2 laps in under 02:05:00 in Sky Sands to unlock it.
The Swerve Star also appears in Kirby: Canvas Curse as one of the many drawable figures in the minigame Paint Panic.
