Kirby then finds himself in one of two small chambers, depending on which path was taken. Kirby will appear to be trapped at first, but walking toward the door will cause it to open automatically. From there, a ladder leads to two [[Cannon]]s. Which cannon Kirby takes will determine where he ends up next.

Taking the right cannon will lead Kirby to a dark hallway filled with barrels. Using the [[Fire]] ability will allow Kirby to see what he is doing in this area as he moved toward the right. Taking the left cannon leads to a different set of dark hallways, forming a labyrinth. In this maze, another treasure chest can be found. As such, Kirby should take the left cannon if he wants to get the chest without having to re-visit the area.

The last area has the paths rejoin in a winding diagonal hallway patrolled by [[Wheelie]]s. Ahead, [[Doc]] appears and nabs the large chest. Kirby will have to run him down to get it. From there, the path continues and splits into two. The lower one leads to the Squeaks' fortress, and the upper one leads to the stage exit.
