Hi, I'm Gigi! I'm a Brazilian young adult that has loved Kirby since around early 2009. My first language is Brazilian Portuguese, but I speak English fluently. I also know Spanish in an intermediate level and Japanese in a basic level, and I'm currently studying both. I can also understand a bit of Italian due to its similarities to Spanish and Portuguese.

==What I've been doing in the wiki==
I've been focused lately on making the [[Kirby Café]] page up to date, in particular now completing the big [[Kirby Café menu]] page.

I've been checking the already existing music pages and editing them to add any missing info I can remember. I've also been uploading audio files to those pages that need them. I'm also sometimes creating more music pages, starting with more known music of the franchise.

I've also been extracting images and other assets from games' files and uploading them to the wiki. While I am not really focused on this right now, feel free to ask me if you need anything extracted, although I really mostly only have access to files of recent games.

And, of course, while what I just mentioned is my focus, that's not all I do. In general, as the Editor-in-Chief, I am WiKirby's representative and leader, and so I do my best to help the wiki head to the best direction: that means helping users, guiding and overseeing other staff members, organizing projects, defining policies, to name a few duties. I am also very open to suggestions, ideas and feedback, so, once again, feel free to message me if you want! And as an admin and bureaucrat, I help maintain the content of the wiki in various ways, such as taking care of protected pages, deleting articles and files if they are deemed unneeded, and adjusting users' ranks.

One-off tasks or other stuff I want to eventually work on if no one does it before me:

*Create more music navboxes, starting with the rest of the modern games
*Actually finish the [[20th Anniversary Kirby Pupupu Encyclopedia]] page

*Help fill coverage of the novels in characters and copy ability pages (and in particular, create more novel pages for existing characters with major novel appearances)

*Make sure all boss pages have a proper "flavor text" table
*Take screenshots and in general add more images to the wiki (see [[:Category:Image requested|this category]]) (doing some SqS stage images when I feel like it)

==Kirby and me==
My first Kirby game was ''[[Kirby: Squeak Squad]]'', and to this day it still holds a special place in my heart. The game that made be a big Kirby fan however was ''[[Kirby Super Star Ultra]]'', which I played and replayed countless times when it was the latest Kirby game. It has been really fun and rewarding to watch the series grow in the over 10 years I've been a fan of it, and I'm always anxious to see more.

My favorite Kirby game has changed a lot in my early years as a Kirby fan, but ever since ''[[Kirby: Planet Robobot]]'' released, it has held that position. ''[[Kirby: Triple Deluxe]]'' was my favorite Kirby game before ''Robobot'' released, and it still is my second favorite. ''[[Kirby Star Allies]]'' stole the third position from ''[[Kirby's Return to Dream Land]]'' when it released, but after the release of ''[[Kirby and the Forgotten Land]]'', I started to reevaluate what I love about Kirby games, and after playing ''[[Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe]]'' I concluded I do still love 2D Kirby a lot more than 3D Kirby, and thus ''Return to Dream Land'' and ''Star Allies'' are tied in third place, while ''Forgotten Land'' comes after in fourth.

My favorite Kirby character has always been [[Kirby]] himself, but over the past few years [[Bandana Waddle Dee]] has grown on me to the point where he's now tied with Kirby as my favorite character of the series. Not surprising, when I see the two interacting I can't help but smile.

My favorite Copy Ability has been [[Mirror]] for as long as I can remember, with [[Magic]] always following as a close second. I didn't have a third favorite until [[ESP]] came, which instantly got that third place. I had ideas for a psychic power like ability before it, so it was so cool to see that happening.

My favorite Kirby composer is [[Jun Ishikawa]], and thus my favorite Kirby songs are almost always by him. My favorite Kirby song ever is [[Welcome Your New Overlord]].

I love the [[Kirby (novel series)|''Kirby'' novel series]]; they are my favorite adaptation of the series, and a big part of why I decided to actually start learning Japanese. They are just so darn good and I wish they had at least English releases to be more accessible.

[[Shinya Kumazaki]] is a huge inspiration for me and I respect him a lot. Not surprising, my favorite Kirby games were all directed by him.

I do probably too much on the Kirby fandom. Apart from being the Editor-in-Chief here, I am an admin of [https://discord.gg/kirby the r/kirby Discord server], an editor for [https://www.kirbyinformer.com/ Kirby Informer], and I have been writing a Kirby fan story since late 2010, [https://20timeskirby.wordpress.com/ 20 Times Kirby!] (its original run, [https://20timeskirby.wordpress.com/comic-mirrors/ as a sprite comic], ended in late 2019, and I am currently working on [https://20timeskirby.wordpress.com/novel-index/ a written remake of it]). Moreover, [https://gigi9714.wordpress.com/category/translations/ I do translations of Kirby interviews and post them on my personal blog], and I have a side project called [https://kirbrasil.wordpress.com/ Kirbrasil], which aims to translate the modern Kirby games to Brazilian Portuguese.
