Usage

This template indicates that the page in question should be deleted from the wiki. Generally speaking, and particularly for articles, this should be an option of last resort, only pursued if nothing else can be done to improve the content in question. See the Deletion policy for details.

This template automatically places the article in the To be deleted category. Therefore the editor should not add it to pages manually.
